Reseller multi-marketplace sales breakdown in 2026

By Matthias - founder of StoFlow·· 7 min

In short

Across the sales of more than 50 sellers between September 2025 and August 2026, Vinted accounts for 94.1% of volume and 86.7% of revenue.

Across the sales of more than 50 StoFlow sellers measured between September 2025 and August 2026, Vinted accounts for 94.1% of sales volume and 86.7% of revenue, far ahead of Leboncoin and the other marketplaces combined (5.9% of volume, 13.3% of revenue). These figures do not come from an external market study: they are internal StoFlow statistics, calculated on real sales, aggregated and anonymised.

StoFlow today has more than 100 active customers; the figures that follow cover the sales of more than 50 of them, over a period of twelve months, with a fallback to the entire available history when the annual sample becomes too small to publish. The full method, its exclusions and its limits are detailed at the bottom of this article.

How are sales split between Vinted and Leboncoin?

Vinted accounts for the overwhelming majority of StoFlow sellers' sales: 94.1% of volume and 86.7% of revenue over the last twelve months, against 5.9% of volume and 13.3% of revenue for Leboncoin and the other marketplaces combined.

Share of revenue86.7%13.3%

The gap between the share of volume and the share of revenue is not a quirk of calculation: it comes down to the average order value. A piece sold on Leboncoin or another marketplace weighs on average more in euros than a piece sold on Vinted, which explains why these marketplaces gain more than seven points of share when moving from the number of sales to the revenue generated.

What is a product worth when sold, at the median?

The median selling price, all channels combined, stands at €15 over the last twelve months, across more than 50 sellers.

On Vinted alone, the annual sample falls below the publication threshold of 50 sellers: this figure is therefore calculated on the entire available history rather than on the last twelve months, with a median selling price of €16 across more than 50 sellers. The full method explains this fallback choice.

What share of products is published on several marketplaces at once?

18.5% of products are published on two or more marketplaces, over the last twelve months and across more than 50 sellers.

In other words, the great majority of products are still published on a single marketplace, despite the visibility gains that simultaneous publishing allows. That is the whole point of crosslisting: publishing a product once and making it visible on several marketplaces without retyping each product page by hand, rather than choosing a single storefront for each piece.

How many sellers are connected to several marketplaces?

56.0% of sellers connected to at least one marketplace use two or more, for an average of 1.8 marketplaces per seller, across more than 50 sellers measured on active connections on 23 September 2026.

This figure covers active connections on that date, not sales: a seller can have connected two marketplaces without their sales over the last twelve months being spread equally across them, which suggests a gap between 94.1% of sales concentrated on a single marketplace (last twelve months) and 56.0% of sellers connected to several at once (active connections today): two different periods, not directly comparable like for like. Multiplying connections does not yet mean publishing each product everywhere: that is precisely the difference between being connected to several marketplaces and really practising crosslisting product by product.

What is the median displayed price of a garment?

Over the last twelve months, the sample of sellers stays below the publication threshold of 50 sellers for this statistic: the figure therefore covers the entire available history, across more than 50 sellers, with a median displayed price of €17 for a garment.

This figure covers the price displayed at the time of publication, not the final selling price: the two do not necessarily coincide, as a negotiation or an offer can lower the amount actually received.

What do these figures concretely change for a reseller?

A breakdown of more than 94% of sales on a single marketplace (last twelve months), while 56.0% of sellers are nevertheless connected to several (active connections on 23 September 2026), suggests where the real room for progress lies for the majority of StoFlow sellers.

Three concrete readings of these figures, on the reseller side:

  • Vinted remains the logical starting point. With more than nine sales out of ten going through it for StoFlow sellers, it is the marketplace to connect first before adding others.
  • Leboncoin and the other marketplaces weigh more in euros than in volume. A higher average order value justifies maintaining a presence there, even if a minority in number of sales, rather than abandoning it in favour of a single marketplace.
  • Being connected is not enough: you need to publish each product. The gap between 56.0% of sellers connected to several marketplaces (active connections on 23 September 2026) and only 18.5% of products published on several marketplaces at once (last twelve months) suggests that a good part of the visibility potential remains untapped, for lack of time to retype each product page marketplace by marketplace.

That is the role of a tool like StoFlow: publish a product once and distribute it automatically on several marketplaces, with a single dashboard for orders, rather than choosing between connecting one more marketplace and having time to actually list your stock on it. The comparison of crosslisting software details the tools available to move from connection to real publishing.

Method and limits

StoFlow has more than 100 active customers, that is to say sellers who have at least one marketplace connected, measured by the same query; these statistics cover the sales of more than 50 of them.

These figures are calculated by a versioned SQL query, docs/etudes/ventes-multi-marketplaces-2026.sql, run read-only (transaction rolled back after reading, without writing) on the production database on 23 September 2026. Excluded from all calculations are: StoFlow's internal accounts, test accounts, and a marketplace whose sales do not yet come through reliably in our systems. The date used for each sale is the date of the order on the marketplace itself, not the date on which StoFlow recorded it in the database.

The reference period runs from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026 inclusive. When the sample of sellers over this period falls below the publication threshold (50 distinct sellers in the denominator), the statistic is recalculated on the entire available history rather than published below the threshold; this is the case for the median selling price on Vinted alone and the median displayed price of garments, both announced above with their actual period. A second rule applies to each line of a table: any line whose number of distinct sellers falls below 10 is merged with another rather than published in isolation. Only the block of other marketplaces (excluding Vinted and Leboncoin) falls below this threshold of 10 distinct sellers; Leboncoin, on its own, exceeds it by a wide margin. Grouping it with the other marketplaces under the single line "Leboncoin and the other marketplaces", to clearly contrast Vinted with the rest, is a presentation choice, not a consequence of the threshold of 10.

This data is fully aggregated and anonymised before publication, in line with our privacy policy: no published statistic makes it possible to identify a seller, a product or a specific sale.

These figures describe the real usage of sellers who use StoFlow, not the second-hand market as a whole: it is a sample of resellers already equipped with a multi-marketplace management tool, not a representative survey of all French sellers. By construction, sellers who already use several marketplaces are over-represented in this sample compared with all occasional sellers, which can accentuate the measured share of multi-marketplace selling compared with the reality of all sellers, StoFlow or not. The figures calculated on the entire available history (the median selling price on Vinted, the median displayed price of garments, active connections) may include imported orders or products, prior to the actual use of StoFlow by the seller concerned.
