Money stuck in your Vinted wallet: what to do?

By Matthias - founder of StoFlow·· 5 min

In short

Money pending or a transfer that does not reach your Vinted wallet? The causes described by Vinted, the checks to run, and who to contact.

If your money is stuck on Vinted, first check whether it is 'pending' (the order is not completed) or 'available' (you can transfer it), then whether your wallet is activated and whether an identity check has been requested. If everything is in order and the transfer still does not arrive, write to Vinted support. This article only repeats what the Vinted help centre says, nothing more.

One useful point: the Vinted help centre page on transfers that do not appear in your bank account could not be read on the date of consultation (6 October 2026). We therefore do not describe it. Read it directly: Vinted, the transfer does not appear in my bank account.

What is the Vinted wallet for?

Vinted describes it this way: "The Vinted wallet is a secure wallet where the proceeds from your sales are kept" (Vinted, how the wallet works, accessed 6 October 2026).

You can then transfer this money to your bank account, or use it on the platform. The money comes from sales: according to the same page, you cannot deposit money into it from outside.

Why is my money 'pending'?

This is the most common case, and it is not a block. Vinted writes: "When a buyer pays for an item, this payment appears as 'Pending' in the seller's Vinted wallet" (Vinted, pending amount, accessed 6 October 2026).

According to this page, the payment service provider temporarily holds the funds, which makes it possible to refund the buyer if there is a problem.

The timelines depend on your status, according to the page:

  • Private seller: the buyer has 2 days to confirm that everything is fine or to report a problem. After that, "you will receive your payment within 2 days".
  • Professional seller: the buyer has 14 days, and the order is completed automatically after 14 days if no claim is made. The payment then arrives within 2 days.

Once the order is completed, the sum becomes an "available amount". If a dispute is open, the payment waits until it is resolved. Our guide on a lost or damaged parcel dispute explains the steps on the seller side.

Is my wallet properly activated?

An inactive wallet is a cause to rule out early. Vinted explains how to activate it: select your profile icon, then "My wallet", then "Activate my Vinted wallet", and enter your full name, nationality, date of birth and address.

The page specifies: "When you activate your Vinted wallet or confirm your information, make sure to enter your full name and your real address". It also advises activating the wallet "before or during your first sale" (Vinted, activate my wallet, accessed 6 October 2026).

According to the same page, the wallet is managed by Vinted's payment service providers, Mangopay and Vinted Pay.

What are the conditions for transferring to my bank?

The page on transfers sets the following rules (Vinted, transfer money to your bank account, accessed 6 October 2026):

  • "You can only transfer earnings that come from completed orders."
  • "You can only transfer your earnings in euros (EUR) to accounts supported by banks or other financial institutions located in the European Union (EU) / European Economic Area (EEA)."
  • "The minimum amount you can transfer is €0.10."
  • The same bank account cannot be used for several Vinted accounts.

Check your IBAN and the country of your bank account before concluding that there is a block.

How long should I wait after a transfer?

Vinted states: "A transfer can take up to 5 business days to appear in your bank account (Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays)" (same page, accessed 6 October 2026).

Before worrying, let this period run, counting business days only. A transfer started on a Friday evening does not count the same as one started on a Monday.

What if an identity check is requested?

Vinted writes: "Our payment service provider may ask you to submit to an identity check". According to the same page, transfers are suspended until the verification is complete.

Answer the request with accurate information, identical to what is on your wallet. If you do not understand the request, go through Vinted support rather than sending your documents to a third party.

When should I contact Vinted support?

Contact them when the points above have been checked and the situation does not change: order completed several days ago, wallet activated, IBAN correct, and the 5 business day period has passed.

To do so, go through the Vinted help centre. Have the order number, the payment date and the amount ready. This article does not replace Vinted's position, nor your bank's if the problem comes from your bank account. For any legal or banking question, contact your bank or a professional.

How do you avoid this happening again?

A few simple habits:

  1. Activate your wallet before your first sale.
  2. Keep your details up to date: name, address, IBAN.
  3. Track your orders: an order that is not completed holds the money back.
  4. Note every transfer: date, amount, business day.

If you sell on several platforms, central tracking avoids having to ask where each payment is. Our guide on managing hundreds of listings covers organisation, and stop relying only on Vinted explains why keeping a second channel helps when a payment is late.

StoFlow centralises orders and listings from several marketplaces. Its free plan covers up to 100 products (see the plans). It does not unlock a Vinted payment: only Vinted and its payment service provider can do that.
